Brian has attained Eddy's UD title quite quickly, and they are now "studying" towards attaining their UDX title.
Here they are (pictured) with their booty.
Well done, again, Brian and Eddy!

but Zella successfully completed her first All Age (retrieving) stake today. She hasn't been entered in many competitions at this level, as she is not quite ready for it, but today we "survived" all three runs. I was especially pleased with her efforts in the last run (a double mark and a blind), as apart from the inherent difficulty of the run, one of her birds landed in an exceptionally difficult position, and she hunted it out beautifully.
Last Sunday, both my own dog Breaker (Ch Oakridge Ice Breaker NRD CD) and Neville's dog Riley (Oakridge Lochinvar QC) picked up placings in their respective levels of competition.
Breaker gained 2nd place again in the Restricted Stake, and Riley was placed 3rd in Novice. Riley has been trained for, and is perfectly capable of, competing at higher levels of competition, however owner Neville has elected to keep him in Novice in an endeavor to keep him calm and relaxed. It worked for most of the weekend! Riley retrieved all 9 birds from his weekend of trials. His drive and enthusiasm are much admired by experienced triallers from far and wide. Well done, Neville and Riley! |
