Cheryl's girl Kira (Oakridge Quahira) who is Maloo's mum, was also awarded 2 CCs and a Best of Breed. Kira is now only a few points short of attaining her show title!
My own two dogs also managed to add to their points scores, with Hudson (Oakridge Obsidian CCD) winning 3 CCs and a Best of Breed, and Sascha (Oakridge Panache CCD) winning 2 CCs and a Best of Breed. All round, a successful weekend, which was ably assisted by our friend Ruth, who helped show some of the dogs.
On a tragic note, we said goodbye to dear sweet Nikki only a few days earlier. She had been one of my absolute favourite dogs to train, due to her bubbly, bright and enthusiastic nature. She was positivity with a capital "P" and biddability with a capital "B". Since her retirement, she had been lovingly cared for by Hayley and her boys, and occasionally babysat by Cheryl and her husband. I know that Nikki loved the extra special attention that she received with them all, and for which I will always be thankful. RIP Nikki, you beautiful girl.
