It proved to be a rather rewarding experience, with young Nero (Ch Oakridge Waldemar) winning a nice 9 point Dog CC and Runner-up Best of Breed, and young Uli (Ulana Adin Dom Imp SVN), despite all of her her fidgeting in the ring, gaining Reserve Bitch CC. Nero's litter sister Clover (Oakridge Windsong) performed well for her handler, Lyn, also winning her class. Its the first time I've shown a couple of dogs for quite a while, and my poor old body is paying for it today!
We ventured out to an all breeds show last night, as GSP specialist Anne Raymond was judging.

Kath's young girl Bi (Ch Oakridge Valotte CCD) is continuing on her winning ways, scooping 3 straight wins to gain her CCD title, then going straight on with another two wins towards her CD title. Bi is sired by Ch Oakridge Obsidian CCD out of Ch Itsgottabe Never Say Never (Imp NZ)
Under Kath's expert tutorage, Bi has achieved all this, plus her show title, at less that 18 months of age! You go, girls! A huge thank you to Kath and Brent for looking after and showing my young boy Nero to complete his show title just recently.
Nero can now officially be know as Ch Oakridge Waldemar (IID) - the first Australian titled dog for his German bred parents, KS Ilex II von Neuarenberg and Nora Anjules. Louie gained his CD in grand style with his very dedicated owner/handler Shiela just recently. 3 straight trials, with 3 straight passes, and not only that, he was the top scoring dog in the prestigious Balmead Shield!
Louie can now officially be known as Oakridge Usher CD. Huge congratulations to Shiela and the very handsome Louie! Sascha (Ch Oakridge Panache NRD ORA CCD) and I have only made it to one weekend of trials so far this year. On the first day, she completed most of the Novice and Restricted runs, but it was the next day when she started to hit her straps, completing Novice and then winning the Restricted stake with some nice steady work, and a touch of luck! It's been a bit of a mixed up season for us this year, but I'm hoping that we will be able to get to the last couple of trials for the year .... and hopefully fit some training in, in between! John's boy Rocky gained another retrieving trial win the other weekend, to make up his Novice retrieving title. He will now be officially known as Oakridge Sirocco NRD. Congratulations John and Rocky!
John and Rocky (Oakridge Sirocco) have started the retrieving season on the right foot this year, with a win in Novice at the Lab Club trial this past weekend. This follows hot on the heels from a RATG win, several weeks earlier. "CONGRATULATIONS" to John and Rocky!
