We had to say "goodbye" to dear old Rosy just recently, at almost 14 years of age. She was the last of my Trekker litter, and the only girl in that litter, she outlasted all of the boys. Rosy had been a successful show dog in her hey day, obtained a National "Excellent" grading, was the dam of 3 show Champions (one an All Breeds Best in Show winner, and another a Best in Group winner), but by far her greatest contribution was as a producer of some amazing working dogs - consistently, from all 3 litters that she produced. In her retirement, she was the much-loved companion of Betty and Frank, sadly only following Frank's death by a matter of days - they will be companions once again. A sad time for Betty and myself, but thankfully we still have some of her progeny to keep us company. Vale Rosy. |
